Oct 2003I LOVE YOU Beloved Partners & Friends, "God is LOVE!" What an incredible statement from the awesome God who created the universe. If God is love then He formed love into the very fibers of Adam when He created him. Men are made to love. What a truth! Man was made both to love and receive love. In particular, man was to love his Creator. The word love is beyond the mental, physical or emotional understanding that we have. Love is to literally "RAVISH" which means to pour out in adoration from the depths of our being everything that we are and indeed have on to the one to be "ravished." Mary "ravished" Christ when she broke her alabaster box of ointment upon Him. What a tragedy that sin came in and corrupted that ravishing intimacy between Adam and God. Nevertheless, oh what love Divine that God stooped to save a soul such as mine! God so loved the world, but God so loveS ME!! Here is the great wonder of God: He knows and loves us all but He knows and particularly loves ME! Oh beloved, to enter into that love is to enter into eternal bliss right here on earth. How men miss the love of God because they are so involved in their squabbles and fights and their various selfish nesses. How many will enter into eternity never having ever told the Lord, "I love you!" I want to ravish the Lord whilst I yet have breath. The greatest lovers of God are the GREATEST friends. The greatest friends are the greatest worshippers and the Lord is short on both. How we have deprived Him of love due to Him. People often tell me that they do not feel the love of God. The problem is very simple. Most Christians use God simply as a provider. Ah, but begin to ravish Him until the very depths of your being are touched with love, wonder and awe and you will discover such a dimension of intimacy with the Lord as you never believed possible or even existed. In that intimacy, HE will automatically provide for your every need. You will not stay long in the presence of His Divine Being that every need changes anyway. Is this intimacy possible? Indeed, absolutely. We are ushered into that intimacy through our beloved Lord Jesus Christ and by the power of the blessed Holy Spirit. Most people would rise up in anger if I called them thieves but surely, the majority of believers are. You say, "How am I a thief?" In robbing the Lord of the ravishing love owed to Him. That you have not taken time out to simply sit in adoration before Him and tell Him how magnificent and wonderful and glorious He is has made you a robber. One look on the Divine face of Jesus will undo us all that we did not love Him as we ought and in not loving Him we have not loved His Father and our Father. Beloved, you have but this one life. Spend the rest of it simply telling the Lord how much you love Him and how wonderful He is. If you want to enter into God's love, you need to pour out adoration upon Him. You do NOT have to have a feeling to do this. This is a decision of your will and an act of obedience. It simply means one thing. Open your mouth and speak audibly to God and start telling Him over and over, "I love you, Lord." The emotion will assuredly come and you will never be the same again.
SUDAN PEACE TALKS The talks are definitely proceeding and peace will be signed! This is the answer to seven years of protracted intercession! It really works!! We are extremely excited about this peace and though in international affairs nobody will take much interest in the power of intercession, yet ETERNITY will keep a record of exactly what transpired. There have been some sticky issues with the Islamic Government of Khartoum that insisted certain people be removed from the South. In particular, objections were raised to a certain Bible College! How fantastic that the work of the Lord can be so righteously offensive and disquieting that it becomes a matter of international dispute. I have news for Khartoum: we are NOT going! Peace will be signed in the next few weeks - but that's African timing - and though there may be delays, peace will most certainly be signed for it is God's plan and no man or Devil can thwart what the Lord has decreed. Once the peace is signed, the real fight is on for the minds and hearts of all Southern Sudanese. Through the corruption of mega wealth being poured into Southern Sudan, the Islamic fundamentalist government in Khartoum seeks to win over all the black people of the south and keep them in a union after the six year interim period. Should this plan succeed, the Moslems will thereafter legitimately slaughter the Southerners. Islam cannot and will not change and they will not give up territory. Intercession therefore must not stop. We have come too far and invested too much to see Southern Sudan lost at this critical venture. Know that your faithful prayer and financial support has helped to make all this possible. You have had a key part role in this incredible drama and ultimate victory. Never lose sight of the fact that your giving, sending and loving is having tremendous impact on far away shores - places that you might never reach in the natural but through CHRIST'S BODY MINISTRY working as it should, you are reaching there. Thank you and the Lord richly bless you, each one!
TRUCK APPEAL There is still a long way to go on this appeal. Thank you to those who have faithfully given. The information that I have received from Malawi is the Isuzu that broke down actually finally gave up! She had traveled 1,2 million kilometers (720,000 miles) and just simply wore out. We had never had a day of trouble with that truck despite the fact that it sunk in the Shire River, Mozambique at one time when the ferry did not dock properly. The ferry slid back as the truck was exiting. Both truck and trailer were carrying a load of timber for Pastor Jim. All that had remained above the water was the cab! The rest sank to the bottom of the river and had to be towed out with a D10 Caterpillar! Despite this and other mishaps, that truck gave incredible service for which we bless and thank the Lord
MALAWI REPORT
CHILEKA PROJECT Praise and honor be unto our living God. Many thanks to the volunteers for harkening unto the Lord and helped us in roofing the blocks at the Bible School College. Their service is really appreciated and not taken for granted. All the School blocks have been roofed except for only a few buildings. The building project is going on very well and it is going at a fast rate much more than we were expecting. All the workers are very busy at the site and right now the electricians are very busy wiring the buildings definitely shortly the premises will be supplied with electricity. Plumbers are fitting the pipes in the buildings. Thank the Lord for all those working with us for they are the men of one accord. According to Pastor Michael Howard program, he wanted that the school should be opening on the 1 st January 2005. According to the progress it is the plan that can be accomplished, as such the ministry needs a lot of funds. We do believe and trust upon God's provision, we are really praying and asking the Lord to raise many people to have a burden to contribute towards this project. Further more the volunteers are not taken for granted when they come and help us at this project May the Almighty God bless you as you share this burden. Many thanks to Pastor Michael Howard and Pastor Roz Heyns for fulfilling their vision of building a better Malawi future. Yours faithfully, Alinune Msongole
DESPERATELY NEEDED: A plumber for the Chileka project in Malawi. We need someone who could go out for approximately three weeks to lay out the plumbing and supervise our contractors on exactly what to do and where to place everything. Please contact the Kansas City office on (816) 734-0493 if you are able/available to do this.
MAIZE PROJECT This has been a process of which the mission does buy maize in rural areas and keep for the use of the mission staff during the time of need. On behalf of the entire staff of Kalibu Kwa Yesu Ministries we really express our gratitude and appreciate those whom the Lord touched to contribute to the project last year. The support, which we received, we managed to buy some bags of maize that we are using to date however our reserve is running out of stock. As we look forward to those to be used in replenishing this need, may the LORD richly bless you. As we are running short of maize and the prices has began to rise up due to the economic situation. The local currency is depreciating as such every price of stuff in the country has gone up, worst still the essential commodities like maize. Therefore there is a great need that the mission should purchase some additional bags of maize to avoid a situation like we had the previous year in the coming month. To maximize productivity because whenever the staff suffers they do not come and do their jobs freely. As such if the Lord places the burden on your heart to contribute towards this project. You will really be appreciated and trust that the Lord Jesus Christ will richly bless you. Thanking in anticipation to all those who harkens and carry this burden as theirs and contribute towards this project. As at now a 50kg bag of maize is selling at US$7 but the prices of commodities are soaring it will go up US$13 –15 because every item has gone up. Thank you once again for sharing this burden with us. Alinune Msongole Pastor, Malawi
TESTIMONIES FROM SUDAN I received the letter of request from Grace Kaday concerning the deliverance for Umi Sabina. Her nephew is in the first year class at Kalibu. This was a wonderful experience of seeing the power of God triumph when the enemy thought that nothing could remove him from this woman who had been under his control for decades. She was saved in 2001, but could not get free, so had continued obeying the demons. The reports of Pastor Alepayo and Pastor Ambrose are attached. I was impressed with the maturity and wisdom of these two men. Seeing some of the fruit of the teaching they received at the school during their two years was a delight. There was such a unity in the Spirit the whole time we worked together. The day before we left, Pastor Ambrose, Pastor Elias, 3 students, Grace Kaday and I went to Umi's home. She had another dream from the Lord, which I believe was prophetic. Part of it was about her using a sword, which I showed her from Eph.6:10-15, was the Word of God, her weapon against the enemy. The Holy Spirit also gave her 2 verses: 2 Cor. 5:17, and 2 Cor. 6:12. We continued to encourage her in making the total break with the ways of darkness, and fully embracing Jesus Christ and His ways and power. Jesus had healed an abscessed tooth we had prayed for the week previous. She was given some material help also. She needs a new job, now that she doesn't have income from the old one. The demons, who used to come every midnight to give Umi instructions for the next day, had not returned since the Sunday she was delivered. The change in Umi was very obvious, and already people in the community were talking about it. Pastor Elias and Sudan Ugiri were going to continue the follow up, with spiritual support, and what practical support could be given. I believe this is going to have a great impact on Yei, and perhaps further, since she is so well known. The more prayer support she has, the more sure is her continued victory in Jesus Christ. Ethel Reeder, Goshen, IN Report from Pastor Alapayo Foyo Amira I reported to the office and God had planned a task for me. When I arrived at the office the Administrator told me, “Thank God you are here to take the responsibility and finish the work. The task is to fight a good fight of faith. In obedience and humbleness I said, ‘Yes, I agree.'” The day was arranged for two weeks ahead which gave me enough time to pray and get properly equipped. When the day was over the plan was made and four of us were to get prepared. Pastor Ethel from the United States, Pastor Ambrose Chongbil, Student Sudanm Ugiri and myself. The battle was to take place at the school and after a Sunday morning service. When the day arrived we faced a bold witchdoctor of about thirty years' experience in the service of the devil. After we counseled her we found out that she had many, many demons. Step by step we led her to renounce her activities together with the gifts she had been given by satan such as divination, predication and power to curse and to use traditional medicines. We preached the power of God for deliverance and salvation. Lastly we cast out the demons. The woman immediately collapsed and lay on her back looking upwards There was definitely resistance as the devil did not want to vacate a vessel he had been able to use so effectively for so many years. Pastor Jerry came and joined us and finally the devil left and the woman was completely delivered. There was much rejoicing by all and we praised and thanks God for such a wonderful victory over the devil. When we visited her some time later at her home we noticed her face was very bright and shining with happiness, peace and the joy of the Lord. We prayed for her and her family, dedicated her house to the Lord and prayed for her to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit which she received and is now speaking in tongues.
UPDATES Please note that we are already working on Michael's itinerary for 2004. Please contact Alice VanLandingham on (703)864-8202 or email her at shekminusa@aol.com. TALES OF AN AFRICAN INTERCESSOR Tales of an African Intercessor has now been printed in Spanish and is available from the office in Kansas City. It has been a project we have long waited to accomplish and we have had the translation for some years. There is a great need as we have dear friends who work in Central America and as doors opened last year in Houston and Michael has been preaching in southern Arizona. In fact no matter where we travel throughout the United States and Canada we have found so many Spanish churches who have expressed a desire for a Spanish version of the book. Thank you Alicia and family in San Diego for all your hard work in the translation. This book has just had a fourth printing in English and third printing in Finnish.
