This victory in Sudan is simply the beginning of much greater things that the Lord has in store for us in the nations.  The phrase that keeps coming to my heart in these days is “STRATEGIC INTERCESSION.”  If there is anything needed in the Church, it is God's strategy without which we are fumbling in the dark and trying one thing and another that we think might be successful in the kingdom. There is an enormous price to pay to know God's purposes and plans and very few, even those who claim to be intercessors, are willing to pay that price.  To really touch the throne of the Lord is a huge responsibility as it always impacts nations and history when we gain that place of intercession.  We must positively find God's highest plan not only for our personal lives but also for revival in the nations.

God has given us a strategy for Finland in much the same way He gave for Sudan.  Exactly how that will be worked out in practical expression is yet to be revealed.  Being in the Lord's strategic plans clearly means that He will supply every need and undertake for every circumstance.  Most men of God spend their time “belly aching” about the money and when the money comes, they do the job.  We do not work like that in Shekinah.  We hear the Word of the Lord and embark on that calling NO MATTER HOW LITTLE WE HAVE.  We then watch the Lord begin to move in His miraculous ways to bring His purposes to pass.  That is faith, never wavering, never doubting but sure of His word!  When the enemy and circumstance step in to attempt to bring confusion and derail the vision, all we do is return to the foundation of the Word that the Lord spoke.

This applies as much to our personal lives as the ministry at large.  So many Christians get bitter and twisted because they “give and do” for people rather than the Lord.  Doing for people means that you are a man pleaser and doing things with “eye service.”  There is always a certain amount of manipulation that goes along with such “giving or doing.”  When we do it for the Lord, we REST entirely in Him.  If relationships fail and I fall out with people there is no reason to be bitter or disappointed in any “lost investment” because I gave and did for God and not man.  Many times I have had people who became disenchanted – because things did not really go their way – tell me, “But look what I did for you,” or “look what I gave you.”  Well, if you gave it to me or did it for me you have set yourself up for a fall or for great disappointment at least.  Do all for the glory of God and you will never be disappointed or disillusion. The reason that divorces get so messy is because there is so much SELFISHNESS involved.  It is amazing how great love turns to great bitterness.  Was it therefore truly great love to begin?  “Divorce” in church relationships are no different to marriage relationship. In fact, they are often worse.

Strategic intercession suggests incredible security – in who I am and what He has called me to accomplish no matter what anyone else is saying or doing or even achieving.  This depends on my intimacy with the Lord, as those who are intimate will know His heartbeat.  There is a vast work to be done in the nations before the return of Jesus and the Lord has called us to be a vital part of that ministry through strategic intercession.  The ministry is poised for explosion in size and impact in these next years and you are very much a part of this on-going work.  We are honored to have you on board to take the nations with us.

 DEATH OF A GENERAL

It is with great sadness in the natural that we report the home call of Rev. Samuel Howells son of the great intercessor, Rees Howells of the Bible College of Wales. "Mr. Samuels" as he was affectionately known was a tremendously faithful friend and supporter of this ministry for almost three decades. The battles in intercession that he fought were often extremely intense. I remember a couple of years BEFORE the fall of the Berlin Wall how I was visiting Mr. Howells in the Bible College in Swansea. His face was shining like that of an angel and he was enjoying tremendous liberty and excitement in the blessed Holy Spirit. I asked him, "Mr. Howells, what has the Holy Spirit been telling you?"

"Oh," he smiled, "The Lord has gloriously answered our cries. The Berlin Wall is coming down and all of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union will be free!" It happened precisely as he declared the sure word of the Lord to him. He had interceded for almost 40 years for that freedom to become a reality and lived to see it fulfilled. The faithfulness of the Lord's servant was richly rewarded and the greater faithfulness of the Lord revealed.

The Body of Christ has lost a great WATCHMAN on the WALLS but in his place are untold numbers who will continue to carry the torch of intercession and shake the nations for the glory of God.

Outstanding to the ministry of Mr. Howells was the "EVERY CREATURE COMMISSION" to take the glorious Gospel to the ends of the earth.

We, ourselves in Shekinak/Kalibu carry the same burden for the nations with the passion to preach the Gospel to every creature. Our vision is to raise up Bible Colleges that will equip mighty warriors to do that task and thereby literally multiply intercessors in the nations.

We shall deeply miss Mr. Howells and his rich fellowship but rejoice in his well earned eternal rest and rejoicing around the Father's throne.

"Until wee see you there Mr. Samuels, we will carry the baton and continue in the fight."

TESTIMONY FROM MOCAMBIQUE

 One Weekend I was preaching in Mopeia, about 70 miles from Morrumbala and when I returned Eileen met me with a long face.  I wondered who died now.  She said that thieves had broken into the storage shed and stolen our three chainsaws, some diesel fuel and two batteries.  The chainsaws are the backbone of our timber business and worth about $3,000 and very difficult to replace.  We have two security guards who work at night but they were obviously asleep throughout the break in and I was feeling very angry.  The next morning, Monday when in prayer, God spoke to me as clearly as you are reading these words and said,

“Believe Me and those chainsaws will come back.”

I told everyone that I didn't know how God was going to do it but those chainsaws are coming back and you are all going to see the power of God. Later that morning the local chief came after hearing about the theft and said he knew how we could get the chainsaws back.  I knew already what he was going to say.

“If you have a little money we could go to the witchdoctor and he can tell you who the thief is,”  he said.

I thanked him but told him that we had already prayed and God was going to do something great. On Tuesday night I had to rescue our truck which was broken down in the bush and when I returned Eileen met me again but this time she smiled and said,

“You'd better talk to the guards and see what's in the shed.”

I opened the shed door and there on the floor were two of our stolen chainsaws, but our best chainsaw was still missing.  Immediately God impressed on me to continue to believe Him for that third chainsaw..  I felt that God was giving these thieves a time of grace to return it otherwise the chainsaw would become like poison to them.  About four or five days later we received word from the police that they had a chainsaw at the station and two thieves!  Sure enough, it was the third chainsaw and when everyone heard that all three had been recovered no-one could believe it. 

The thieves managed to escape from the local jail the next week by burning the lock off the wooden door but have since been apprehended and sent to spend some years in prison.

LAND CONCESSION PROJECTS

As foreign business people, we must have a land concession here in Mocambique to cut and export timber.  We have applied for 30,000 hectares which will allow us to cur for some five years.  In the application process we had to make a business and development proposal which shows how we would develop and help the local residents living within the concession.  Since there are abundant wild grasses which can be cut, cleaned and bundled to be sold for roofing thatch, we started two years ago with the women.  We bought the grass from them, giving them a means of earning some pocket money.  This year there was an outside customer who wanted some 14,000 bundles.  The women and men, some 30 cutters, were pleased to have a means of earning a little cash to buy soap, salt and maybe some shoes for the children.  Also, Jim is working to provide bee boxes for bee keeping in these forest areas.  One of our forest workers named Sangulane was harvesting honey from bees he coaxed into hollow bark tubes, which were hung in trees to attract swarming wild bees.  He received 10 wooden boxes and has reported that all ten boxes are full of bees.  When the time to harvest the honey arrives, we will purchase the honey and try to find a market locally in which to sell it.

Last year World Vision gave us two presses to press cooking oil from sunflower and sesame seed.  This was a project for the women, to enable them to have a chance to work and earn a little money.  This year we bought two tons of sunflower seeds and the women are pressing it now.  The oil is of good quality and will be sold locally.

 

I am hereby writing this letter to you asking God Almighty, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ to prosper you in the work of His Kingdom and ministry.  Also giving to you my sincere thanks for your untireless support to my family, even the children they are really happy for your honest care for their needs.

Dear Pastor, we are really very sad with what is taking place concerning the school, but our God whom we serve is the giver of all things and the rewarder of all men that fear Him.  He is a good judge.  He is not a God of partiality and He will work miracles as He is on the side of the just.  He is not a man that can let down!  Our God is a faithful God.  I am encouraging you and also encouraging ourselves as the Kalibu family.  We are not just an earthly family but we are an heavenly family.  We are building the Kingdom of heaven on earth and exerting heavenly influence on the people of the Kingdom here on earth.  I hope you will be encouraged and courageous and strong.

I am looking forward for even greater opportunities.  We will own our own land in the new capital.   This whole things is just a case of a slight set back and we are trusting God.  Our God is able and we will overcome in the name of Jesus.
